With great success, the first participation of ΙΩΝΙΚΗ Engineering in an award competition, was accomplished, as it won an award among leading companies in Greece such as HELLENIC PETROLEUM S.A., PLASTIKA THRAKIS, and AB Vasilopoulos for the fire safety study it conducted for the industrial facilities of SUNLIGHT SA following the devastating fire in May 2018.
ΙΩΝΙΚΗ Engineering participated in the Fire & Emergency Excellence Awards 2020 which highlight and reward best practices and services in fire fighting and emergency management that contribute to the safety of facilities, spaces, and means. The awards were aimed at businesses, organizations, local government authorities, and providers of relevant services and solutions.
The subcategory in which ΙΩΝΙΚΗ Engineering participated was "Fire Safety Studies" within the "Fire Administration" category, which included the following five subcategories:
1) Personnel Training
2) Technical Support & Maintenance of Systems
3) Fire Safety Studies
4) Incident Investigation
5) Analysis of Incident Causes
These specific subcategories saw significant participation; however, only three managed to be awarded, with ΙΩΝΙΚΗ Engineering receiving the Silver award for the project "Unified Fire Safety and Industrial Safety System at the industrial facilities of SUNLIGHT SA in Xanthi."

Through these awards, we have highlighted the contribution of effective management of safety and fire fighting of facilities, spaces, and means, within the context of the competitiveness of businesses and organizations.”
