With the signing of the first announcement of the support scheme "Processing – Supply Chain" on July 21 and the opening of submissions from July 27, the launch of the new Development Law "Greece Strong Development" is effectively underway.
The aim is to significantly change the environment for granting state aid to private investments, in order to achieve the greatest possible efficiency of public resources. The Ministry of Development and Investments has taken all necessary actions, successfully modifying the Regional Aid Map, so that now in almost all regions of the country, very high maximum aid limits are established, with particular attention to transition areas.
Significant innovations include:
- The possibility of granting aid for expenses not included in the Regional Aid Map, such as expenses for consultancy services for small and medium-sized enterprises, expenses for recycling and waste reuse, and expenses for vocational training—something that is happening for the first time.
- The new Integrated Information System (O.P.S. – An) will assist in simplifying processes and reducing unnecessary bureaucracy through modern and automated methods.
The purpose of this specific scheme is to support investment plans belonging to the processing sector (excluding the processing of agricultural products) and investment plans in the supply chain sector, focusing on technological, production, administrative, and organizational upgrading, as well as innovative and outward-looking development and growth.
To qualify for the support scheme "Processing – Supply Chain," the minimum eligible cost of the investment plan is:
a. €1,000,000 for large enterprises
b. €500,000 for medium enterprises
c. €250,000 for small enterprises
d. €100,000 for very small enterprises
e. €50,000 for Social Cooperative Enterprises (Koin.S.Ep.), Agricultural Cooperatives (A.S.), Urban Cooperatives, Producer Groups (O.P.), and Agricultural Corporate Partnerships (A.E.S.)
The level of support varies depending on the specific region. Specifically, for the region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, the support level for large enterprises is set at 50%, for medium enterprises at 60%, and for small enterprises at 70%.

The start date for the submission of applications for the inclusion of investment plans in this scheme is set for July 27, 2022, and the end date of the submission cycle is October 31, 2022.
