Significant subsidies of up to 50% are being offered for hotels in the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace through the new "Green Transition for SMEs" action.
The investment program aims to utilize and develop modern technologies, upgrade the products and/or services provided, and generally improve their activities. It encourages actions that leverage modern technologies, infrastructures, and best practices in energy efficiency, circular economy, and adoption of clean energy sources (e.g., use of RES systems).
Eligible beneficiaries
Hotels that:
- Have at least one (1) full closed financial year,
- Are substantially active in at least one (1) of the eligible NACE codes.
Eligible Expenses:
- Buildings, installations, and surrounding areas
- Machinery – Equipment (Conventional Expenses)
- Equipment (GREEN)
- Product – Service – Process Certification
- Packaging – Labeling – Branding Design Services
- Promotion and Export Expenses
- Participation in trade fairs
- Technical Studies & Consulting Services
- Transportation Means (GREEN) – Mandatory electric
- Salary costs for new employees – (new staff from 1 to 3 FTEs)
Key Conditions & Information:
- For investments from €200,001 to €1,000,000 (Sub-action 1 – Green Transformation for SMEs), the hotel must employ at least 3 staff for 12 months.
- For investments from €30,000 to €200,000 (Sub-action 2 – Green Productive Investment for SMEs), the hotel must employ at least 2 staff for 12 months.
- Subsidy rate: 40% (50% if green expenses are included).
- Duration of the Investment Plan Implementation: 24 months.
- The start date for eligible expenses is set as the date of the application submission.
- It is not possible to apply for more than one (1) action.
The submission period for proposals starts on 22/03/2023 and will remain open until the budget is exhausted.
